Ok so it's hero armour, what does that mean? We did those challenge missions to upgrade our hero's armour for nothing cuz we're gonna overwrite them with the DOA armours? Hope we get an answer soon from some uber elite guild that pulls an all nighter =b

Didn't Gaile Suggest the Devs (on a few occastions) that we should have jewlery? Such as necklaces.
Didn't Gaile Also Suggest the Whitch Hat, A Mini Varesh upgrade and countless other things?

I still say that the new gems are to "bling up" our Existing armor, there is now Way Gaile said everything right there and then.

Unless The new gems are indeed for hero armor and a new money Sink.

I'd be cool with jewlery.. as long as it wasn't a major bonus.. maybe a ring with +1 engery ect... but i'd be surprised if that was the case at least in the elite area.. i don't see how that would translate well to people who haven't finished Nightfall or don't have Nightfall.

Hero armor = armor like you got in the challenge mission yes. I'm sure this is just another variation.. though I would think the majority of people would rather have armor for themselves.. so that strikes me as odd. Unless I'm wrong and people rather have more hero armor choices.

I would be Surprised if it was rings, Sure you can see the nails on your characters Given high enough Detail, but for a lot of people Rings might only be a 4-9 Square Pixel Brownish Dot.

If there are rings, there should be a Zodiac-esk Light Orb of different colours for differeing rings.

Now THAT would be cool, and could sooth many "Give us Norm-ies Divine Aura"

I'd expect these so-called gems to be something equivalent to "Ancient Armor" or "Stolen Armor".....and that's it.

Does anyone care what their heroes look like? Does anyone even glance at heroes? I was looking forward to getting something for myself, not for the customised henchmen that no one will ever see.

On http://www.guildwars.com, it says "New gems, new weapons, new hero armor", yet in the announcement it says new "weapon acquisition" and "novel armour upgrade options", which is it?

Seeing as "they" are always a bit lazy in the update-the-login-department i'd say Hero Armour... it is usually the newest "post" from the devs that count. In this case the webbie.

And i was SO looking forward to some cool looking armour...

/bit off-topic: i was actually very fond of my predator-like kurzick assassin armour... but hey! thats a matter of taste, and taste CAN be discussed, but almost never agreed upon.

/see ya in DoA, when the weekend's over... Got work to do

Rather amazing how you are able to speak for over 2,000,000 players around the world.

I had assumed that people had the common sense not to buy something that was useless. I was wrong.

I noticed this too and I'm wondering what they are planning. So those that are expecting new armor for your own characters...please don't be disappointed when it doesn't happen. It probably won't. For now, it looks like there won't be any new armor except those for Heros. I'm pretty sure Razah will be in there and will be unlocked through one of the various quests they have. As far as what it will be like....I'm seriously thinking it may be sort of like a SF crossed with maybe a little Tombs. I'm kinda intrigued by this. I'm also intrigued when they say "Novel" items. Ok at first I started thinking "Ok....there will just be new Green items"....but that doesn't necessarily fit the word "Novel" very good if they are just more Green items since "Novel" means something that has never been seen before. As far as the gems go....I have a feeling the new gems may have to deal with armor crafting for the heros. It is going to be interesting to see what they have going on and I for one can't wait.

You got a problem with my collection of Juni berries?

(Yes, it's an improper comparison, since there's no money involved. But I couldn't help it.)

I'm hoping the new armor options means we can change our armor created in other chapters. Other then that, I'm not overly excited about the new elite mission. But I hope you guys enjoy it.

Even more Hero armor? Wow, really exciting...

Buying a Hero a rune is enough too tick me off, giving them bling is just retarded.

P.S: Get the "Hero" out of, poorly named at this point, Heroes Ascent!

I like getting new Hero armor.

Hence the reason I hate Remains of Sahlahja (sp?).

I don't know if anyone else mentioned it yet cause I don't feel like combing through the last 14 pages; but Gaile has confirmed Razah is a rit hero

I thought thread speculation/and possibly Gaile said this was not the elite mission earlier? But now she says it's the major update that they've been talking about just earlier than expected...

I skimmed through some other pages but couldn't see anything on this, what is the current opinions?
